NVDI5 Crashes Notator.

Post by Cosmic Puppet »

I've just accidentally found another bug whilst testing ClickOff program. I've discovered that whilst in the score editor, pressing either D, (Stem down for selected notes) H, (Enharmonic shift down for selected notes) or W (Syncopation: alternative display) crashes the program.

I installed this for use with EmuTos a long time ago and it made everything slick.

If I run EmuTos alone these crashes disappear. I tested working backwards, deleting ANTIBOMB, SNAPIT, US_GETCL, DESKPIC, and then WDIALOG and NVDI. Then it finally stopped freezing.

I also tested running NVDI without WDIALOG and this still bricked it.

Notator runs slower than normal in EmuTos without NVDI, so this throws my setup into question.

Meh. It's took hours to figure this out. :D

Thought I'd better let you see this @anodyne

Perhaps try a different, older NVDI version? Many people prefer NVDI 2.5x on the ST.

Okay, I'll try and find it.

I'm creating another system right now so will be able to test this one a lot.

Strike that I can't convert pasti files so I'll look on the atari music network.
