Evening All,
Just asking if anyone has installed one of @exxos V7 HD floppy kits into a Mega ST yet?
I've fitted the kit into the Mega but would like some guidance to how to wire it to the Mega motherboard if possible.
I presume its just P1 and P2 to connect now that the V7 has its own oscillator.?

Re: Installing V7 HD floppy kit in Mega ST
Just use W1 and W5 pads instead of (STE) W300, W301.
EDIT
W5 MEGA = W300 STE
W1 MEGA = W301 STE
EDIT
W5 MEGA = W300 STE
W1 MEGA = W301 STE

Re: Installing V7 HD floppy kit in Mega ST
Thank you, but i have read the Post before...
i am old, and my Eyes are not so good... just see in your Pics, that W2/W300 Pin 2 and 3 connected on PCB,
These stay connected after install Kit?
Like on your Pics to see..? I disconnected Pin 2 and 3 by cutting PCB. Thats my Fault, i think. will test tomorrow.
Should W5 connected on Pin 2 and 3 too? Not to use with Kit on my Mega ST...?

oh sorry I forgot all about it... I cant find the MEGA.. it was years since I fitted it...
But what is the problem just to use W1 anyway ? .. its just very simple....
Instead of W301 on STE (or W2 on STFM) .. you have W1 on MEGA... I don't know how more simply I can say it..
MEGA W1
ST W2
STE W301
MEGA PCB
Its exactly the same connector on each machine, just different number...just pretend W2 on the V7 says W1.. that is all...

ok,but please answer me about this:
Let still connect Pin 2 & 3 or disconnect the Bridge on the PCB?
Without Kit, the Pin 2 & 3 are onnected with a little line between the Pins on the PCB.
should i disconnect tese, or let them connected?
