TF534 /w030@50+FPU runs @14Mhz and I get no RAM

Hi all,

I need a hand here guys. I recently purchased a TF534 /w 030/50MHz + FPU. Popped out the 68k, installed the card carefully into my A500 rev 6a (Kick 1.3), which also had the 0,5MB RAM trapdoor expansion board installed.

All I get is 030 @ 14MHz with 1:1 speed to the old 68k. If I disconnect the 0.5MB RAM TD expansion board I only get 0.5MB of onboard chipmem.

What went wrong here? Also see the sysinfo screen attached.

Thanks for creating such a sweet product! If only it would be working as it should in my A500 :cry: !

Take a nice clear top down picture of the card, as close as possible to get good detail.
There are a few of us here that would probably spot an error.

The CPU should still run faster even if the ram isnt detected.

No it will pretty much look stock running from chip.

Kick 1.3 doesnt autoconfig ZIII ram.

I was pretty sure I used a modified 1.3 rom with a TF534 and it was fine, must have been the TF530.

For 1.3 to work you'd need a scsi.device and modified exec to handle ZIII.

There is code for handling ZIII on KS 1.3

Extracted the code from the BigRAM Pdf and got it compiling. Havent tested it but its attached.

Hello gentlemen,

Thanks all for the suggestions and help! My TF534 is working finally. I ordered and installed the Cloanto Kick 3.1 and now I get what I was aiming for. Thank you Steven for creating such a great product and thank you all for other suggestions!

One remark though: after installing the Kick 3.1 the floppy/gotek operation takes upto 15 seconds after power-up/reboot.

Is the 15 seconds thing happening with no HD installed or with HD installed. There is a known delay waiting when there is no HD installed. I think a terminator can solve it.
