What to do with all this memory?

I'd seen a few people mention it, but boy was the TF536 a joy to build. One evening's work and it booted first time, all memory detected and IDE working. Never thought I'd see an 8 digit "other mem" value

BTW, what would I gain by adding the IDE buffers?

You could keep your hard disk in your neighbours garage and run a cable. Many Germans seem to want to do this.

I notice the silkscreen on the buffer says "No ICs the RNs, Populate RNs". Not sure the extra "the RNs" text needs to be there.

Pretty sure the RNs are there too provide a path to the IDE if you do not attach the buffer chips (eg: buffer chips attached No 0 ohm RNs required, buffer chips not attached, Yes 0 ohm RNs required)

Still waiting to receive my own boards via the slow boat to OZ, but that is what I would reason the silkscreen to be indicating

Yeah I think he gets what the RN's for, its the sentence that doesn't make sense. Read it out loud if you have to

I think there is a typo there

"IDE Interface (IC4,IC5,IC6 & RNs Below)
Buffered = Populate ICs, Remove RNs
Unbuffered = No ICs the RNs, Populate RNs "

Should be

But in the scheme of things i dont care.
