These would be great with an H4 board inside the case. :D

Re: Atari 4160ST badges
Really what would be cool is if we could get some H4 badges. I wonder what kind of quantity Robson is having to order to get a reasonable price. I have one of his Falcon060 badges, and the quality is top notch. You'd need a microscope to figure out it isn't an Atari original.kodak80 wrote: 08 May 2020 04:48 These would be great with an H4 board inside the case. :D

Re: Atari 4160ST badges
There is also some moral and legal issues to take into account.. I cannot view the images on AF..but some things to consider..
Its one thing to take a original machine and slap on a Atari badge like the 4096 or whatever..
But with the H4 Atari did not make it... Their logo and name is copyright. Frankly all those mugs and t-shirts out there are on questionable grounds as it is. Legally Atari can sue anyone using their name and logo without permission.. I assume they don't as its either not worth their time, or they are letting it slide for free advertising.. Even though its actually for the original Atari not "Atari" as it is today.
I also wouldn't use the name or logo as Atari did not produce that machine, we did! I'm not giving credit to them for anything . even so, if they saw their name or logo on something like this, it would look like we are trading under the Atari name, believe me I've had that type of problem twice before with companies.
So in terms of new badges, it will have our own logo and name as we are not going anywhere near legal disputes in all this.

Absolutely! If there's a custom badge to stick on the H4, I definitely want it to properly declare the contents of the case. My H4 case already says Atari. I want it to say that it isn't just another Atari ST.exxos wrote: 08 May 2020 12:32 I also wouldn't use the name or logo as Atari did not produce that machine, we did!

Such a tease.
I can already tell that'll look great with my still-in-the-planning-phase black case. :)

Yep, I've stolen that idea too, lol. I found some 1.44mb floppy drives in black and am going to paint case etc to matchderkom wrote: 08 May 2020 13:01

@derkom - there might have been a bit more of a tease for the badge over here - https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... 200#p38492
