DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

TT HDD lid modding

Post by Steve »

Hi guys,

Today I did some work on the HDD box/lid for my TT. I have the Lightning USB and the USB Ethernet, I had the ethernet dongle just hanging out the front and I wanted a neater solution. I also wanted to incorporate a *powered* hub in the chain, as the usb ethernet pulls a lot of power (and gets very hot etc) I had a feeling it was causing issues with the usb system.

I managed to fit a small logitech USB hub in the front part of the lid, which runs directly from the lightning usb output. The USB ethernet runs internally from the powered hub. The inside looks a bit messy! But the outside looks fantastic in my opinion, I'm very happy with it.

Here are some photos:

(by the way I have a spare untouched lid if I ever want to return it to stock)

Hubs don't require additional drivers, just the standard lightning drivers.
