Current high-res of the silk screen layer. Should help people "find" bits on the board easier.

H4D SILK SCREEN LAYER
Re: H4D SILK SCREEN LAYER
Hi Exxos, been making up a mouser order for parts I'm missing and some extra's. Couple of questions.exxos wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2019 6:17 pm Current high-res of the silk screen layer. Should help people "find" bits on the board easier.
1. c5,c6,c7 seem pretty weird to me. c5 and c6 are both labelled on the layout image. What type of caps are these, why is there 6 locations for three caps, what does the + mean in the symbol center mean, and last but not least is the symbol by the ACIA's c9.
Thanks.. Paul
Re: H4D SILK SCREEN LAYER
Hmm after further examination it looks like surface mount caps. If so what is the package type?
Re: H4D SILK SCREEN LAYER
The mouser part number is in the BOM..PaulJ wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 3:33 pm Hmm after further examination it looks like surface mount caps. If so what is the package type?

You can also see them in Icky's build guide which he started the other day...

Re: H4D SILK SCREEN LAYER
I am going to update the build guide later tonight with the other SMT circuit areas so will point out the caps as well.exxos wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 4:11 pmThe mouser part number is in the BOM..PaulJ wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 3:33 pm Hmm after further examination it looks like surface mount caps. Re: H4D SILK SCREEN LAYER
Guess I'm just a dumb ass but ordering this SMT stuff is quite a pain. Thought a 1206 was a 1206 ff just like a 1/4 watt resister is a 1/4 resister no matter where you order it but now I run into this. Also the BOM doesn't contain much that cross references here in a USA Mouser web site.???? So I'm basically picking out parts based on what they are but with the SMT its a more difficult be cause I haven't ordered that much of it. So is a 1206 a 1206 or are us and eu parts different?Icky wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 4:39 pmI am going to update the build guide later tonight with the other SMT circuit areas so will point out the caps as well.exxos wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 4:11 pm

Re: H4D SILK SCREEN LAYER
Does not mouser part numbers not work on the USA site then ?! I don't get why your searching for stuff when I list the codes anyway...

EDIT:
I get the same page up with mouser.co.uk or mouser.com (USA)

Re: H4D SILK SCREEN LAYER
I don't see those numbers on the BOM I downloaded awhile back. For me the only useful data is 100uf. Then looking at the board image to determine its SMT part. Like I pointed out earlier I guess I'm just challenged.

You seem to be missing a column...PaulJ wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 5:46 pm I don't see those numbers on the BOM I downloaded awhile back. For me the only useful data is 100uf. Then looking at the board image to determine its SMT part. Like I pointed out earlier I guess I'm just challenged.![]()

Maybe you didn't look far enough to the right? They're in column F.PaulJ wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 5:46 pm I don't see those numbers on the BOM I downloaded awhile back.
