I have a "conspiracy" hypothesis on those extreme prices.
It is a scam to inflate prices. £1000 seems to be much, but if you confront it with clearly overpriced item £4999 then initial price seems much more reasonable. ;)

That is a disgrace, is the extra for all the ground in dirt?

They clearly have no idea, and can't be bothered to look at ended auctions for an idea of real prices. Unless of course it's trying to inflate ST prices. I know in the US they are not as easy to get hold of as in Europe, but even so this is just a stupid number.

Id say more like £50, he doesn't even say if any of it works. STF may well have the long button drive which will mostly likely not work. Those monitors people can't give them away.. The SH204 may be worth a little if it works, but we have to assume not. But know how stupid people are at bidding, it could end up selling for £100-£200. People don't get much past "oh its got a monitor and hard drive with it" and bid accordingly assuming it all works.

I think you really should have some sympathy with these poor souls that have to quarrel with their wifes' 'this dirty old thing must go' arguments with such last resort 'o.k. honey, I'll try to sell it' response
And remember: Beethoven wrote his first symphony in C.

Reminds me of them Ebay auctions for the 'this may be some of Britney Spears hair', or 'this bolt is an exact replica of the one that was on Prince Phillips crashed Range Rover' that were doing the rounds.

The only thing is, this guy forgot to write 'may have belonged to John Lennon' or whatever BS in the description!
