TF330 WiFi?
Hi,
Great project, I love my TF330, it’s working great so many thanks to all you guys and especially to Alen who ‘built’ my card :)
Is the WiFi currently working or is it waiting to be enabled in future firmware?
Is it’s the former, what sets need to be taken to start using it? If the latter, is it likely to get made available soon enough?

Re: TF330 WiFi?
It works slowly.
Just needs a pppd setup and roadshow etc can dial into the pppd on a Rpi

Re: TF330 WiFi?
Nice. Does anyone have a link to a suitable tutorial to get this set up?

Re: TF330 WiFi?
I'll try and do one when i'm back from hospital later. Its not hard. You just need a rpi with pppd setup (or any linux box TBH).
You will also need to flash in the zmodem firmware to an ESP8266 module... if you want to get a headstart with that.
ESP firmware is found at https://github.com/terriblefire/terribl ... er/esp8266
At some point i'll try and put the pppd software in the ESP module itself. It should be possible

Yes.. and then ppp setup on a rpi or a linux box on your LAN.

Re: TF330 WiFi?
Is the ESP8266 connected via serial? Maybe installing a SLIP firmware directly on it would be the simplest solution, then no need to install a pppd somewhere.

Re: TF330 WiFi?
Yup. Its just wired directly to the serial.device. There may be lots of ways to get working wifi.E-Penguin wrote: 09 Jul 2019 13:52 Is the ESP8266 connected via serial? Maybe installing a SLIP firmware directly on it would be the simplest solution, then no need to install a pppd somewhere.

I’m gonna have a play with this on the TF360 this weekend...
