Maybe not an issue but a mild annoyance is there a way to get the RAM to clear faster on a stfm/ste?
Every time I use the reset button and/or turn on and off too quickly all my st machines get white screen, bombs or just throws me back to where I reset my with some corrupted RAM.
I have two stfm and one step and they all do the same.
Reset/RAM issue.

Re: Reset/RAM issue.
You have to power down for a few seconds for everything to discharge and then when you turn back on, the ST resets ram fully (cold boot).
When you press the reset button (warm boot) it doesn't reset all of ram, hence its faster than doing a cold boot.
Depending on what apps you are running, a warm boot can keep things in memory causing the next reset to fail.
There are also issues where the reset circuit may be degraded and not working correctly causing the machine not to be held in reset long enough causing the bombs.
