Teardown Tuesday - Pink monitor

So my pink monitor was having issues where the display was looking rather dim, and sometimes it would go through a span of intermittently losing sync. In the summer when we had all the extreme heat, the teacher was looking rather fuzzy. So I decided to do a quick re-cap.

Why do I have a pink monitor I hear people ask ? Because I needed a monitor quick years ago, so I stole my girlfriends pink TV ( she had to buy a new one then, so all was good).

I did not have the correct value capacitors, there was some 10V 1,000uF which I could only replace with 16V, 1500uF, and some 25V 2200uF which I replaced with 35V 2200uF. Those capacitors were physically taller, but thankfully they *just* fit it and there was not a gnat's knacker clearance to spare.

The old caps.. some odd makes..

I am not really a fan of ESR meters, but people will probably want to know anyway...
