Farnell have let me down again, wanted next day delivery to finish the PSU's, didn't happen :evil: :evil: :evil:

I mean seriously, they had stock, like 1,000 of the things. This seems to be getting more common where Farnell are listing stuff they haven't actually got in stock. Its making my sourcing parts even harder as I have to do half of it all twice these days! :evil: :evil: :evil:

Farnell have really become terrible over the past couple of year. Its a shame as they used to be a good reliable supplier which always had a nice stock of items. Now.. well.... Think AVNET's take over probably the cause... probably directors decided only to sell the popular products and stuff the rest. but if I can't get half the bits for my stuff, I will order everything from somewhere which does, like mouser.

I tried to order from AVNET once, nightmare. like 20 pages of forums to sill out to buy stuff, other than name and address, WTF else is there ? 20 more pages it seems... couldn't sign up with them as my paperwork was not complete... Don't know if its still the same, but looked like they were only interested in selling items in bulk... slippery slope IMHO... Not good news for us regular guys.

Got a voicemail from UPS.. women said something something China something Package , please ring us on 0.. something something something quoting reference number (some random stuff here) thank-you... what ? Great a english person rang, but fek she was speaking on fast forward...

So ring UPS.. menu.. menu.. no.. no.. no.. more options.. no no... do you want to speak to agent , YES!!!! 'allo ow cun de elp u, got a call about some package, du ue a de truckin cde , no women was speaking to bloody fast to understand what she was saying... ok sir, u neee cod wth .... oh forget it! *hangs up*

I hear you Exxos you pay for shipping which is not cheap. Sounds like my Blitter escapades.

The goods are also not that expensive and then you get clobbered out of the blue and they hold your goods for the ransom money.
