Morning All

Post by rubber_jonnie »

I'm Jon from the UK, and I'm a bit of a retro collector.

I have a collection ranging from a ZX81, to pride of place, which is my much modified 4160 STe, that rose from the ashes of at least 4 dead ST's, and now sports the 32Mhz booster and TOS switcher from exxos, an internal CosmosEx from Jookie and an internal real time clock based on the ForgetMeClock II, which I helped to design and build with the help of a number of good folks from the community, and which exxos has produed the PCB for.

Not sure how it came to be that I ended up focusing on the ST so much, but I'm glad I did, as it's a really rich community, long liv the ST and all it's bretheren! :D
Collector of many retro things!
800XL and 65XE both with Ultimate1MB,VBXL/XE & PokeyMax, SIDE3, SDrive Max, 2x 1010 cassette, 2x 1050 one with Happy mod, 3x 2600 Jr, 7800 and Lynx II
Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1585 Have you done the Mandatory Fixes ?
Just because a lot of people agree on something, doesn't make it a fact. ~exxos ~
People should find solutions to problems, not find problems with solutions.

Welcome, fellow collector :)

Yes I know how it goes with the Atari... My first was a 130XE, the 1040STE I have know is in fact my first own ST ever. I had a 1040STFM as a loan from a friend then, but I only used it for my beloved Carrier Command :) Specs-wise my Amiga 1200 clearly is the "better" machine, but I still love the STE more... that's why I am so keen to find a way to get exxos booster running in it ;)

Hmm maybe a collection-show-off thread with pics would be nice...
