I propose a new thread: "What was the most stupid thing you ever made on an ST computer."

I confess I made things much more stupid than this! And I'm not joking.

Interesting...

I will check on the other H5C1 and H5CB as well (not to mention the H4) in case that same silly omission fixes them all...

I'll get my coat...

But in all seriousness many thanks @exxos as I must have checked and missed that a dozen times over in the last couple of years.

You have no idea how many times something similar happened to me. "Four eyes see more than two" ...

Hopefully have the same issue :)

I even checked all your jumpers the other day as well.. Totally forgot about the blitter jumpers.

I've added my proposed patch to the H5 schematic. It shouldn't hurt having the data on a bit longer on floppy access anyway.

I've only had time to quicjkly check the H5CB with the additional jumper - and that one also now works just fine!
The floppy I had to hand didn't include GEMBench on it, so no proof of it working until tomorrow (maybe) :(

I had a quick look at the working H4 - and I can't see a jumper on it at the moment (but it still works) so I suspect it has a short on those two pins for the jumper as well somewhere. I'll check in the next day or two & remove the short, prove if it then fails & then fit a jumper again.

I'll have to dig out the last few parts to complete and check the other H5C1 board - a few key components were pulled to get the H5CB 'running', so that one will probably be a job for the weekend if I can make the time.

Still very happy that @exxos has worked his magic

:thanksblue:

Not very magical plugging in a jumper :P but glad it was a quick fix in the end :)

As a frequent recipient of said chair smacking, it's only fair that I get to dish it out too once in a while.
