Excellent. I presume it looks flat at all (ie. slower) timebases too?

If so, then that's good news & is most likely safe to continue debugging.

I tried to change the time base, from 2us (as in the picture), up to 500 ms. The oscilloscope always displays a stable and unchanged 5V line (no sawtooth) ... I hope you meant this as I am not yet very familiar with the oscilloscope.

Perfect!

Although I think you mentioned when you saw that sawtooth earlier it came on over time. It would be worth letting it run a few minutes and double checking all's still stable.

I'd say at this point, whilst it's entirely possible there are some transients in there causing chips to fail, you'd be extremely unlucky if your Stacy blew up a replacement processor.

today I finally had time to remove the old CPU. I cut the pins, one by one, and saw that they had burn marks on the back. I removed the tin from the holes with the help of an air compressor, covering the board to prevent the tin from being thrown around the board. then, the simplest part: inserted the socket, soldered the pins, cleaned the board with a product dedicated to this purpose, then inserted the new CPU…. I couldn't resist ... and immediately turned on my old STacy ...

Very likely, but I expect we'll have to wait 18 months for that due to the heavy post production schedule :dizzy:
