@JezC oh I've got a list as long as my arm to keep me busy.

Going rate for those Rev6s after vat etc is about £310, expensive but not as bad as some are asking, circa £500.

The tracking shows that the new 060 is in the country, so Might be lucky and it arrives tomorrow, rather than Thursday.

Having to restrain myself from putting the Raven in it's new case as it's presently got a 40mhz oscillator on the board which allows the current chip to run at 80mhz but I'm hoping the new 060 will run at 96mhz. So I won't build it all into its new case now till I've tested the new chip.

And a bit of good news today, the new chip is out got delivery, so I shall go and make up a heatsink and fan ready for it's arrival and imminent testing

So the new chip has arrived and works great at 80mhz. When I try it. At 96mhz it looks like the 68150 won't run. Luckily I've ordered some more, so hopefully one of those will but let's be honest, I'm pretty happy with 80mhz this far anyway.

Got my home made CPU cooler working. Yes it's an old motherboard heatsink with a small fan resting on top of it

It's working for now. I've ordered a socket 7 CPU heatsink and fan to do the job properly when it arrives.

Promise I'll clean the motherboard up before putting it in it's case.

Just another small update for now. Whilst I was browsing eBay I came across this ISA card oddity.

So it. Looks to be an ET4000 W32 but with a whole lot of other stuff. Looking at the pics alone and what I can see of the chips, it sort of looks like a frame grabber, network card, sound card and VGA card all in one.

So I'd made a cheeky offer and got it. I primarily want it for the W32, so if the rest doesn't work in the Raven then I'm not going to be particularly bothered BUT I also thought it might be a bit of fun, delving into the hardware of the machine

Another quick update.

The "interesting video card" arrived yesterday and I've just been having a bit of a play with it today.

So far, looking at the chips on board this card, it looks to have a 80186 CPU on the second board with ps/2 ports and an IDE interface, an ET4000 W32i GPU, a network card, video in via coax(just a guess) and has an Svideo input port as well.

SO I think this is likely an all in one PC on a couple of ISA boards with conferencing ability? Again, just a guess but it works great as a video card in the Raven, I know, a bit of an overkill just for a W32i

The Gembench results also make my Mach32 look slow in comparison, which I was shocked at but obviously not complaining.

You know we need to see the photographic evidence of those new results now!

Please @PhilC ?

@JezC how could I refuse? The CPU is still running at 80mhz but I think for now, it'll likely stay at 80.

Edit: The CPU speed is down a little, running it from ALT ram gives a further 100% boost to the average, thanks to the better rom and ram access speeds.
