Re: Should exxos design a new CT60 PSU?
Would have to open my machines to check, but according to AI:
Typical dimensions (e.g., KingSpec 44-pin) are roughly 50.7 mm (L) x 6.7 mm (W) x 22.8 mm (H).
Typical dimensions (e.g., KingSpec 40-pin) are roughly 45 mm (L) × 5 mm (W) × 26 mm (H)
(Alternative compact form factors: Around 60 × 6.5 mm × 28 depending on the model and casing).

If that's true it should fit fine then anyway. Though I am trying to fit a CF adapter under the base. It looks like it will be a bit of a squash , mostly seems the RF capacitors are a bit in the way. But need to print a new base and physically mount one to see better. The CF car would stick out towards the right-side of the base plate.HigashiJun wrote: Mon Oct 19, 2026 10:55 am Typical dimensions (e.g., KingSpec 44-pin) are roughly 50.7 mm (L) x 6.7 mm (W) x 22.8 mm (H).

From someone who designs SSDs that post is nonsense. 44-pin IDE DOMs are typically SATA M.2 SSDs with integrated SATA->PATA adapter.
SATA M.2 SSDs do tend to have fewer, larger NAND chips, no DRAM cache and so be slower and have less overprovisioning meaning that they can go wrong sooner. But in the scheme of retro-gaming you're never going to see it.

That was my original plan, and what I have been trying to order. But a CF card and the vertical adapter are longer than the top case mounting posts.. So even without the shielding, its still like 1cm to tall
I should have one coming to verify, but it doesn't look like its possible.

This is the only place it can really go.
It be better if the ribbon cable itself came out from the "top side" of the connector rather than the bottom though.
