Time is very scarce at the moment between family responsibilities, sorting my late Mum's estate and chores/DIY/gardening etc. so I've not had any chance to even power up any of the systems...

As soon as I can, I'll give it a go but if trying this sooner than I can try it is desirable, I'm still happy to ship a board (or two) down to get things moving.

Ship me a setup which doesn't work on a H5. I'm not going to do much the next few days while I'm waiting for my chips to come from Poland anyway.

I'll try to get a populated H5C board exhibiting the issue with my floppy drives packed up & in the post in the next day or so.

Presumably you won't need the PSU or floppy drive? If you get it working with floppies at all then I can buy the working floppy from you (and since I've tried your super heavy PSU with no change in behaviour it's going to be really annoying if that is part of the problem...)

The other question is whether you care if it has a VGA video connector or the 13 pin DIN for video?

It would help to send a floppy drive if it doesn't work on the H5. I need a setup which fails from power up. I don't need anything else like the PSU etc.

13pin video is better for me... Not a deal breaker with a VGA, just my pink monitor doesn't have VGA input.

Argh!

I've got one of the H5C1 boards (with a 13 pin DIN) failing to boot with a floppy in the drive...and of course the floppy drive (a standard ST Epson SMD380) won't fit in the box the H5CB board came in...

I'll have to dig out a much bigger box or send it as two separate packages...

Well, that's the few free minutes of the evening gone...hunting for a suitable small box and padding will have to come later this evening (after the family taxi service & dog walking duties are complete)...

@JezC Just send the motherboard then.. I have some 380 drives here, just not sure if any work currently.

@exxos Well, some of the drives I passed over to you at CL2 were Epson small button drives & we're working for me.

I will include the floppy cable but cable and drive work fine on the H4.

Ok, H5C1 + floppy cable are packed up - I just need to know what addressto send it to...@exxos ? :D

I should be able to pop out and post it at lunch time today if I know before then...if not it will be tomorrow I guess :roll:
