I think the mouse balls are the same size as the Mk.I Apple ADB bus mouse.

Apparently the mice were made by Logitech (even the original ones), so blame them for the self destructing gobstoppers! :-)

I have some Apple mice, original single button ADB and they don't fit, though I have a number of different variations so I will look see if any are smaller.

Looking on-line it seems that the A5000 shipped with the original mouse. The first one to have this mouse, which uses a standard mouse ball size, was the A4000...

Mine is a Type 1 mouse, yes. I have no idea if it originally shipped with it or if it was one that came along later.

Annoyingly, I just found a really old mouse and the ball is quite small. Not small enough though, 21mm :dizzy:

Lets see how the steel ball works out. I will try to find a small balled mouse when I can get to them.

Its a shame, as I got rid of several PC Serial/MS mice a while ago which I wouldnt of minded..er..castrating?!..is that the right term for it? (technically I would have been removing their balls, after all) :lol:

My main worry is that whatever ball I put in,, the rollers are a bit slick and shiny so might slip,, but let's see once the steel and Delrin balls arrive.
