Just pointing out that if the price is right I will buy one for each of my birds -I have 3.
I wanted to ask though: Does it work well with Screen/Speed Resolution Accelerator cards?

There is simply no way for us to know what it does or does not work with until people try things out themselves. We certainly don't have every expansion under the sun available to test. So I'm afraid at this point in time, anything but a stock Falcon is nothing we can't really help with.MegaSTEarian wrote: 08 May 2023 18:25 I wanted to ask though: Does it work well with Screen/Speed Resolution Accelerator cards?
If things are found as incompatible then indeed @Badwolf can add it to his github page as a known compatibility issue. Until people start testing this stuff there is just no way for us to know if things do or do not work.

Re: DFB1X Falcon booster buyers interests
I have got the preliminary price from the factory for the boards and I think it was actually better than I was expecting. I'm not going to publish a price at this point because there are still some unknown is in the mix. But I will say I think it would be no more than the £200 price point. This price does not include the FPU or CPU or testing of fully built & tested units.
Fully populated and tested units will end up being more around the £300 mark. It could also depend on if you basically want a 40MHz or 50MHz tested board as it could involve a lot of testing to get the "cream of the crop" boards.

Re: DFB1X Falcon booster buyers interests
Surely 40MHz should be fast enough for anyone, given the other bottlenecks in the system? There's probably only marginal practical speed increase with that last 10MHz anyway.
Anyway, that's what I would be aiming for, with CPU & FPU.

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Totally okay. Good work should also be well paid! :)exxos wrote: 08 May 2023 19:09 I have got the preliminary price from the factory for the boards and I think it was actually better than I was expecting. Life is too short not to have an Amiga/Atari. 8-)

Frank has had good results with DFB1 and Nova.exxos wrote: 08 May 2023 18:37There is simply no way for us to know what it does or does not work with until people try things out themselves. Nice one. Only problem is that Nova needs to connect to the same slot, eg on top of DFB1 and I don't think it is/will be supported by Exxos version (the thru connectors I mean) unless some cards are built with special requirements
