Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

And it arrived before lunch :)

It's a simple swap to drop in the new board where the old modulator/power board used to be:

Then it all goes back into the case very nicely:

It came with a decent set of cables: USB 5v power, TRRS out to AV and an AV extension lead:

And it looks great finished :)

And also has a nice white glow to show power is connected, and blue as well when powered on:

From the pics I've seen it was intended to be used with a clear case, so the LEDs make a bit more sense in that scenario.

I did, I gave it a good wash in soapy water and scrubbed with a brush to get into all the corners.

I have to admit, I'm not really a fan of the clear cases tbh and I think the leds would be a bit too bright in that.

I do really like the aesthetics of the OG Famicom though, it's so compact and the carts are so much smaller, the NES was mostly fresh air 🤣

You're preaching to the choir. :lol:

I completely agree and I always try to keep the original design of my retro stuff.

I only made an exception for my A1200 and installed it in a black case.
