I honestly can't see any previous markings either, but it just seemed to come off way too easily with the acetone. I've never had a genuine non-resurfaced CPU have the markings come away that easily before. Maybe just my lack of experience with the ceramic 68030's? With these ceramic "RC" chips, the counterfeits are typically lightly media blasted to remove all trace of previous markings, then reprinted.
It really does make them look brand new, but the nice matte finish on the gold cap is a good sign of remarking.
