It’s just that i don’t like that it’s hanging there in the IDE-cable. I like things to be mounted properly.

EDIT**

SOLVED

I have the same IDE to cf adapter as you ( see pic below) and tried that on my Tf1260 and yes using that adapter I can create the same problem as you, so the problem is the IDE to cf adapter, change it to a IDE to SD or normal IDE to CF adapter and you will have no problems

So now i'm back home and has made some tests.
According to me the problem occurs if i have ANYTHING connected to the ehide and nothing to the internal IDE, a simple CF-IDE-adapter or the buffered one like yours on the pic. Then the computer never boots up, just a grey screen. If i then instead try the simple CF-IDE-adapter or the buffered one on the internal IDE the computer boots up.

Conclusion: If i have anything connected to the ehide on the TF-board i have to have something connected to the internal IDE aswell to get it working.
At least if i have a RTC connected.

I have ordered a A1200 IDE terminator now to try to connect that on the internal IDE so i can have just the buffered IDE-CF-adapter connected to the TF1260.

These don't work with KS 3.2 onwards (or maybe even 3.1.4), unless the design was updated in some form recently.

Yes, i noticed that today :( It works, it terminates the IDE-bus so the computer boots on ehide but the HD led is flashing all the time so that is just money down the drain

So this puts me back on square 1. The only solution left is that i use a simple CF-IDE with a small CF on the internal IDE and use the ehide on the TF1260 for my main CF for better performance.
But everytime i boot the machine it will try to boot on the internal IDE everytime right?

You Asked " But everytime i boot the machine it will try to boot on the internal IDE everytime right?"

The answer is no, just put an empty CF adapter on the A1200 IDE port and it will work fine

Just for the record i got a working A1200 now with the TF1260 + RTC + Kickstart 3.2.3 ehide. So if anyone gets this problem i had this is the solution :)

I installed another CF-IDE adapter and fitted a CF-card to the internal IDE and my main CF-card is connected to the ehide on the TF1260.
