First print done.
Though I have decided to do some other tweaks now. Moving the right hand hold towards the top right-hand making it a bit larger overall. Also move the soldering iron hole a mm over as its bumping up against the motor and that side is a bit thin already.
Mostly I am trying to reuse all existing holes so I don't have to start drilling metal out!
REMINDER - Stay logged in for at least 2 hours a week to get whitelisted.
Also it helps build a picture where our "good traffic" is coming from for detection scripts.

So the top section broke trying to get it off the bed :roll: so made it 5mm thicker on that part.. now to print again ...
I designed it to clamp over the rubber on the soldering iron, as it is bound to be a heat insulated rubber. I think the slight squishy movement is magnifying down the length of the iron so a tiny bit of wobble on rubber can result in a few mm wobble on the tip end.
Likely I will have to abandon the rubber altogether and just clamp the 3D printed plastic to plastic body the soldering iron to make it more rigid.

This clamp is much better now. Not 100% happy with it, but oh well.

The next step is figuring out how to secure a syringe needle to the printhead mount. Sticking problem there is I have absolutely no idea how to do screw threads :lol: :roll:

I'm looking for a long syringe needle which will just simply shove into the PTFE tube currently. The ones I have are little bit too small in diameter. Problem is a lot of them seem only to be available in China :(
