... desoldering the Nano isn't easy, but it's not impossible. Alternatively, why not ask Axel to swap the board for a fully assembled one but without the Nano soldered in?

Yes, that's also a possibility, but since my board is already modified to fit in my STE, I guess asking Axel to swap it will be a no go.
Anyway, I console myself by thinking that an opening a the back of the case won't be so bad and will at least look natural compared to a flying lead...

... maybe you can ask Axel for a Kit with PCB and all parts to build it yourself?

Would be a solution too, but with all my other pending projects, it would be even more hassle than de-soldering the Tang Nano.

While measuring the dimensions of the future HDMI connector opening, I couldn't resist taking a picture of the newly installed PSU with its white glowing LEDs and another one showing GEMBENCH results with a CPU running at 40 MHz.
It's quite difficult to see the glowing LEDs though...

I guess, but I personally don't need it.

Yeah I was thinking that.chronicthehedgehog wrote: 14 May 2026 10:56 onboard usb [power connector] seems potentially very useful
Give it time. Lots of little adapters need power (e.g. new filtered VGA or ACSI2STM adapters from SideCartridge)

Yes, it's really useful for adapters like ACSI2STM, but since I do not plan to use any of these, it's just an extra for me.alexh wrote: 14 May 2026 12:01Give it time. Lots of little adapters need power (e.g. new filtered VGA or ACSI2STM adapters from SideCartridge)
Would make more sense to have one in my TT030 to power the ATW800/2 during flashing instead of using an external USB power adapter.

Ok, here are some news of my last progress.
Wasn't really in the mood today after a boring day at work, but finally managed to make an opening for the HDMI connector in my STE:
Now time to try the setup...
