I've had a good suggestion made by a mate of mine who's involved with the Revival Retro Events team alongside myself (in Walsall) and the Yorkshire Amiga Group -
He suggests we create an event on Facebook, which can then be shared around.
So far, we're not treading on any toes as far as other retro events are concerned, if the date is fixed for September 6th. So hopefully we'll have a better turnout on the day.
Cheers,
Rich.

Re: Cyber Legends 2025
October's normally the 'freeest' Autumnal month for me with me tentatively able to do the 4,5,11,12 or 18th. September only has the 28th where I have a chance. Early September is still 'summer' and also my anniversary. ;)mrbombermillzy wrote: 07 Feb 2025 11:22 Seriously though @Badwolf if things can be changed, or just for future reference, when is a good period for you?
Unfortunately my daughter's smack in the middle of the destructive and hyperactive phase for me to even consider trying to bring her along again so when the wife's working, I'm probably stuck in a playground somewhere!

Good news! There's a playground a couple of streets away on Luton Road which is where I abandoned my flock last year... :D

Re: Cyber Legends 2025
We've had a bit of interest from some of the very old guard from the Atari show days, back in the 1990s and a bit further on ...
For those of you who remember the 'LeST Get Serious' events, followed by the shows organized by Atari Computing Magazine and others, we've had some potential interest from Steve Delaney (ex-Floppyshop), Nick Harlow (ex-16/32) and have also been in contact with Joe Connor.
Should be able to get them confirmed once the date is set in stone.
Cheers,
Rich.

Also to note, for those forum members with a non conforming 'other half', they need to be more creative if they wish to attend:
i.e. 'For our anniversary this year, Ive arranged something special for you, my lovely wife. Remember how much you adore vintage computing my dear? (I truly believe its the main reason you chose to be with me, knowing how I constantly strive to surround myself with it). Well Ive arranged an all expenses paid visit to a vintage computer fair....' etc..etc..

An excellent idea which might get past some of the other halves in question were 'in the Sechelles' to find its way into that sentence rather than 'near Luton'. :?mrbombermillzy wrote: 12 Feb 2025 13:25 arranged an all expenses paid visit to a vintage computer fair....' etc..etc..

Yeah, well... still working on that part of the sentence. :DBadwolf wrote: 12 Feb 2025 13:33 An excellent idea which might get past some of the other halves in question were 'in the Sechelles' to find its way into that sentence rather than 'near Luton'. :?
But you never know, if the event does really well....
