Looking at the pcb, it looks like the rear jack is VGA, not atari rgb.
(oh and yes btw I must have not read that ebay properly)

My crude switch box should come by the end of the week so we'll see if it affects things I don't need it to.

Ah. No. It’s all female hd15 connectors on this one. So you’ll connect the cables to this one.
