Re: New Board TF536
Indications are that a XC95288XL is needed..
reasons why...
The CPLD Now has
1. A full SDRAM controller with burst mode,
2. Gayle Emulation
3. Autoconfig
4. Code to remove INT2 wire (quite big)
5. 6800/68000 bus emulation code
Hence its got more in it than the TF330 which was on the edge of fitting.

Hi TF
Sounding good. Are you planning to implement this on the ST again? If so, what do you expect the capabilities of the card to be? Re having the Amiga Gayle built in wont work for the ST obviously but may mean a cut down easier firmware will be required.
Will support by buying a couple of cards as I said earlier regardless.

If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Re: New Board TF536
Yeah it will need a specific Atari firmware to map the hard disk in the correct place.
Does anyone know if the ST can even use 64Mb of RAM? I really think EMUTos is going to be my recommended OS for this board.
There is space to put a 128 byte boot ROM in here BTW. Just like the TF360.

Re: New Board TF536
sounds great!
Haven't even hoped one Firmware will fit both Computers, so its totally fine. ;)
What about TF534? Is it actually working on ST?

Yes it boots and i can run EmuTOS bus i havent looked at the TF534 for ages. There are too many other boards.
This board is why i didnt even want to release the tf534.

Re: New Board TF536
The clock domain cross is much more solid on the TF536. Just like the TF330 it samples the slower clock frequency and recreates it internally with phase correction ...
Its 20ns ahead of the real signal in the simulation. Gate delays will put that right on the money.

Re: New Board TF536
assume these will be just like TF330, should be able to run at least @100Mhz, since they need to be double of CPU clockroy-forest-fc.goodall wrote: 25 May 2019 12:36 what sdram chips will this be using

However im not sure about capacity. Would be great if we get 256MB, or at least 128MB.
