What PSU were you intending to use with your Enterprise eventually? My original enterprise PSU has long since been lost. I think I was using a ZX81 PSU but again I think that too is lost.

Not 100% sure ATM, but I do have several boxes of reclaimed PSUs that will likely do the trick as long as I swap it over to centre negative.

Not sure a ZX81 PSU would have quite enough ooomph, they usually give less than an amp, so 8-900ma and IIRC the Enterprise needs a bit more, especially if you have RAM expansions, ROM carts and an FDD controller.

I came across a UK guy selling a reasonably priced RGB SCART cable.

Thanks, I've used CollNovelties a lot, the make a good cable, though I am running out of places to plug SCART cables into!!!

I had intended to add an RGBTOHDMI to mine. Someone previously said you need the analog version but there is pinout for wiring digital direct from the Nick chip (I think there is 1-wire needed from another chip)

Having just built 5 RGB2HDMI boards (6 if you include the Atom2HDMI board), I think this is likely the way I will go, even if it does require direct wiring from Nick.

I'm off on holiday this weekend, but will definitely look into it when I'm back.

With respect to the power supply, due to the Enterprise having two 7805 regulators inside to cope with the 2A load you'll need a power supply outputting anything from about 8V to 20V (the higher the voltage the hotter the heatsink will become) with at least 2A output and centre negative polarity on the plug.

The original is rated at 9V unregulated, which actually equates to around 12V in reality.

@stephen_usher IIRC my bench PSU is running about 1.3A ish with just the bare machine.

Will have to see what I have in my boxes of PSUs.

On the subject of the keys I just got contacted by FedEx and they are at Stansted - however there is duty of £17.20 to pay which I'm pretty annoyed about since the machine itself didn't have any to pay...

It's made the replacement keys altogether rather expensive

That £17.20 would be handling charge (+VAT) plus the VAT and duty on both the cost of the keys AND the courier charge. HMRC know how to charge.

Unfortunately you can't argue that the items were originally made in the UK and previously exported and so shouldn't be liable for import duty.

The Enterprise came in via DHL rather than FedEx and no extra fees, unless the seller included them, though that would seem unusual.

FedEx are calling it a 'Disbursement charge'.

I've had this issue with FedEx before IIRC.

It is a bit perverse that we're paying to import what was made here originally...
