Any idea what's wrong with it?
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

At this point I don't know as I haven't tried to power it up, that will probably be this evening. I'm not convinced there is anything wrong, but it was sold as untested, spares or repair.

Based on it's condition, which is far better than I had imagined it would be, I expect that, it may work out of the box, in which case I'll look at perhaps adding a composite mod, but saying that I wouldn't mind leaving it as is.

We'll see.

Case is outside drying in the sun, but the caps for the 6 switches do need a clean as they are a bit corroded.

By caps I don't mean capacitors by the way :)

Should look great when it's all back together and cleaned.

Got a mini wire brush on the switch caps just now:

Very pleased with the results.

When I get back from holiday I'll order an orange paint pen to tidy up the border around the switches. It's come out very nice :)

I gave the bezel a quick touch up with an orange paint pen:

Pretty happy with the results, it's a nice machine and looking tidy :)

It really does, it's in great overall condition for sure, and the orange highlight really does make a difference. I'm very impressed with the RF output on this machine, so much so I'm not going to composite mod it, I really like the aesthetic and overall performance so it gets to stay stock.

I have paddles for it too, and the video touchpad 2nd controller, but I'd like to get a CX40 joystick to match as whilst I have one, it is for the XEGS and grey, I just need a black one.

I do have a 2nd video touchpad as well, but the cable is bad, so I need to figure out a replacement for it. I was going to sacrifice my one Pro Line controller as they are awful, but the cable is wired differently.

I have an extender cable on order that should do the trick.
