Hi
I got a DMA off a donor board and fitted a socket to my board and it appears to be working, I also got the other MegaSTE working so going from no MegaSTE's to two today :)
Both have had -
LED's and holders replaced (I modelled a little replacement 3D printed stand as the power led stands had both corroded through), so I had to change the hard disk LED's to match the colours.
New BlueSCSI 4GB with HDDriver both licenced custom 3D printed caddy to fit inside the existing drive bay.
TOS 2.06 UK
Upgraded to 4MB
Working keyboards and Atari mice.
I have just received 20 GAL's (If anyone needs any I have spares) from China and I have 68881x2 and 68882x1 so they might both have FPU's by the end of the day :D
I also took all the socketed and SMD chips off the donor board as well as the riser for the expansion port, so if anyone is looking for spares I might have some the donor board had a shorted 5v-0v but that didn't change I checked as I took each chip out/off so they 'should' be ok in any case they're free to a good home if anyone needs (just take that caveat that they are reclaimed the DMA I took off I am using and it seems to be working properly). I also still have the donor board if anyone wants it for stripping.
Thanks
Brian

I'm looking for all the sheet metal parts from a Mega STE like the VME bus metal stuff and the sheet metal back panel ...

That makes two of us (got one board without the back panel) but since you have declared interest first, it's yours if available. ;)frank.lukas wrote: 04 Apr 2025 18:15 I'm looking for all the sheet metal parts from a Mega STE like the VME bus metal stuff and the sheet metal back panel ...

Re: Wanted MegaSTE DMA Chip
I'm sorry but my donor board was also missing the metalwork so I don't have any spare.
