Sometimes you can define it in the power options.
There is a work around by using an app called NoSleepHD which prevents the disk from sleeping by writing a 0 byte file to it..

I formatted and did a surface test. Seems fine. I poked around in SeaTools and currently its not clicking now..
Powerdown is set to 5mins.. so will see if it starts again..
