Thank you I could only get a reading from the highest setting on my dvm but the 200ohm setting which I also thought should be fine to read with was just reading 1. You need to test on something like 200ohm resistance scale on your meter to test it properly.

You would have to consult your meter manual what 1 means. Generally it's "open circuit" on most meters.
But if that resistor is blown then the main switching transistor could well have failed.
