Thanks all.
As long as I avoid thinking about things I’ll miss telling him and talking to him about I’m doing OK.

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: General Stuff(tm)
In August I'm going to be helping out with the Elite Community Meet retro gaming section. Seeing as others are bringing lots of micros I'll not have to contribute much, so I'm instead going to take my only old console, the Atari Jaguar, instead.
The only issue is that I only have two games and one controller...
So, I've just bought a Jaguar GameDrive cartridge for the machine... I can then put all the ROMs on an SD card and people can then play any game that was released for the machine. It should be delivered to work tomorrow and I can pick it up next week when I get back from Cornwall. I'll have to buy another controller so people can do multiplayer, which is important in a social event.

Re: General Stuff(tm)
I picked up the RetroHQ Jaguar GameDrive from work this morning, loaded games onto the SD card and... it worked wonderfully!
It really was that easy, once I had a good set of ROM images. Note that most of the "ROMS" you find on the distribution sites are modified to work on emulators and won't run on the real hardware. However, the YouTuber "Ctrl-Alt-Rees" has created a plug and play zip file linked from his review video which made setting up trivial.
So...
Games!
I'm guessing that the multi-player options only appear once you have two controllers plugged in, so I'll have to get a second one. Then it'll be ready for the Elite Community Meet in August.
