I do like the "one leg in the air" mod. :-)

Bother, that's just triggered my brain to play "Spitting Image" "Wave a chicken in the air" song in my head!
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Good to know, I'll dig out a 1050 PSU and give it a whirl.

Actually, I double checked and my 1050 PSU is actually from a 1027 printer. 9vac 4.2A. Just be sure to double check yours, but it is the PSU that came with my 1050.

1010 PSU is also 5Vac, but power is lower, 2A. NES needs 1.3A according to the label.

Better one leg in the air than one leg snipped :)

As for the song, thanks for that, it's now running round my head!!!

Reading around a while ago it looks like any 1.3a 9v supply should work, DC just won't get rectified. I think I have a spare pedal board supply I could use too.

And the final piece of the puzzle arrived today - a new replacement NES controller, seen here trying out Marble Madness :)

Annoyingly the camera focused on the background, but hey ho.

Also tested with Gauntlet and all good :)

SD card solution going onto the shopping list next.
