A lot of the non-RPG ones are mostly in English or don’t rely heavily on language, and come in proper jewel cases rather than the horrid flimsy card and plastic efforts the UK ones do.

Also to offer a dissenting opinion on Daytona, I much prefer the original version to the Circuit editions despite the big graphical deficiencies.
I definitely want an ODE, just not sure what to do re region free ATM. Will probably make a plan in the new year.

As I don't really have much experience of the Saturn having gone from Megadrive to Dreamcast, it's difficult to compare, so this is all new to me, so can't really say regarding the differences in game versions, but once I get an ODE it'll be nice to have a look. I don't really want to build a large collection of disc games, just want a few to be going on with.

I'm really looking forward to trying Space Harrier on the Saturn, it was one of my favourite arcade cabinets back in the day. I have the Atari 8Bit version of Space Harrier and it's pretty amazing, some pics here:

What you can't see here is how smoothly the A8 runs the game, it really works the custom chips hard and the music is superbly done too.

I think Space Harrier was my first experience of a motion cabinet in the arcade, it left a lasting impression and the game was great fun.

@rubber_jonnie that cartridge you've ordered does all the region free stuff for you as well as memory upgrade and action replay.

I've got a power supply replacement board just arrived which I'm going to fit to my Saturn over the holiday.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

D'oh, of course it does, had forgotten about that :)

You just reminded me to check, and it's in the UK, probably arrive after Christmas.

Managed to get a complete copy of Panzer Dragoon for a whisker under £30. Also looked at Panzer Dragoon Saga and said to myself 'That's a bit expensive, let's not do that'.

Once I get an ODE for it, then perhaps I'll go there.

You can get Panzer Dragoon Saga CD,1 (of 3) cheap as it was given away free on a magazine cover and at shows. They usually sell for about £20 and it's the full 1/3rd of the game

Some stuff arrived:

Both work, just need some time to play with them :)

Daytona Championship edition arrived yesterday, so plenty to play with, and supposedly the card that just came allows the use of CDRs so need to test that too.

@rubber_jonnie i think you’ll need the modchip for copied cds? That cart does region free etc. of course I could be wrong and now don’t need a mod chip in my Saturn
