In the context of "bad DMA"? Direct memory access.

Correct way around for chip?

Post by Cosmic Puppet »

Am I right in thinking the dot means the same as the notch and that these are both the same way around?

Yep, the dot indicates pin 1 on the chip.

Is this okay. Chip went in well but I noticed this bit of metal. Is this just part of the grounding or something?

I checked the one I took out and all the pins are straight.

odd. assume it's not supposed to be there ? But if you now remove it, that pin may not contact properly in the stock.
