Can I use midi files as game music tracks in STOS?

Hi guys,

Sorry if this question has been asked before, Google hasn't been too helpful.

Does anyone know if it's possible to play a .MID file in STOS as a game music track? (using the synth, not outputting to midi) or alternatively, if there is any software to convert .MID files to whatever format is in a music memory bank?

If I were you I would research what Doug Little 'DML' did with Badmood. As far as I know it is the only instance of an Atari game with a GS compatible midi audio built in. Of course this would be completely out of the equation for an 8mhz ST. I doubt STOS built something like that in, but maybe someone here can help.

I don't ever remember there being a STOS MIDI player or any conversions utils.
