Finally the holy grail and just in time for Easter!

Post by rubber_jonnie »

I've been trying for so long to get one of these, but now I'm going to have to clear a spot in my garage:

Can't wait, but the shipping from the US was a bit eye watering on top of the price of the machine, but hey you gotta do what you gotta do....

You should look buy one of these. Pretty Retro these days dating back to 2001. But I have heard they were still being used in 2010!

I have half of Colossus in the garage already, but the tracking for the other half stops somewhere in Milton Keynes and hasn't moved for the last week and a half.

Also, the Cray I ordered, also from the US, seems to be taking the long way round, having just gone round the bottom of South America (Cape Horn). It's been 5 months so far and I'm getting worried.

Also, I think I may need a bigger garage.....

Well, we are not far from desks targeted at home studios/small studios, like that, those ones or those ones.

Ok, it's past mid-day, it was all an April Fools joke :)

That said I would very much like to have a PDP-1, though I just don't think it'll ever happen.
