Yeah I am sure he could do one of those easy enough! all down to ion propulsion ;) I think Rolls-Royce were trying to design a new jet engine based on that technology, but I do not think they could ever get enough thrust from it for anything useful.

Dudes...

You dont have to go to that extreme to see a light show.

Have you ever taken a t shirt/trousers off and heard that funny sound (like lots of little clicking sounds similar to a cooker spark lighter?).

Well, try taking whatever garment makes that sound best off IN THE DARK!

You will possibly see (if your eyes are good) all the tiny arcs.

Far more of a positive vibe than what I did...Touched a 128Mb DIMM stick I had just bought for £130 and killed it :( Remember kids, always wear an earthing strap when handling electrostatically sensitive items.

(The real cherry on the top was that a week earlier they were £30; it was just after the earthquake in Taiwan ~1999-2001. RAM shortage backlog due to high demand along with no production because they had to recalibrate the foundry).

LTT put that to the test with Electroboom, they couldn't get the RAM to fail

I was so mad at my sheet for being damp even though the duvet/pillow covers were dry, that I put it back in the dryer for another 30 mins after the lot had been in for 140 mins.

The amount of static present when I opened the dryer door scared me.

Just got a mammoth shock when I discharged my static on the light screw. :D

Went on a long walk yesterday through Hardcastle Crags. I ended up on a dead end path that looked like it had been washed away in one of the floods so I backtracked and spotted a fallen tree over the small river that had been bolted in place using nearby boulders. I got on it, sat down legs outstretched in front and then pulled myself forward using my feet until I crossed the river and then carried on with the walk back home. I think the whole walk was about four or five miles in total. I knew it would be raining today so I made an effort despite having recently hurt my ribs in a fall.

Mental thing is. I haven't had a shock since. Maybe I've stopped shuffling my feet since my ribs are better. Maybe it's the fact that I've been standing on a lot of natural ground. I hope this continues, as I don't miss being zapped every time I get up from my chair.

:D Man I've gotten to the point where I brace myself whenever he goes near anything. "I forgot that the capacitor still has a charge". haha
