GemView.

Post by Cosmic Puppet »

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a registered copy of GemView? It's looking good and I would like the most up to date version without the shareware notice.

In 2021? I would be surprised. Not much left around software-wise to be registered or bought. Let alone to see if the authors or websites are even active anymore.

Btw, what is the latest version of GemView?

I assume you already tried contacting the author, Dieter Fiebelkorn? His website is still up and he writes there that he'll give out free registration keys to everyone who asks nicely.

Oh thanks, I stand corrected. Surprised to see the website still up. But how to contact the author? I don't see an email address anywhere.

I had assumed it was in the documentation. Then there is: http://fiebelkorn.net/email.jpg.

Is it right that there is version 3.18?

I've tried 3 different ones v1.1, v2.48, and now v3.16

Oh, yeah I've just noticed the v3.18 1997 in the website pic. I got mine from Floppy Shop (v3.16)

If I click the download link on his webpage I get this:
