I was very impressed when I saw this. At first I thought it must have been for Amiga 1200's but no, it's for the Amiga 500 and Atari ST with enhancements for the STE. I've not downloaded the demo and tried it yet, but looking forward to it.

I think the initial version from back when this video came out wasn't optimised for Atari. I know KK was talking to Leonard of Oxygene on Twitter shortly after it came out. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with

Been a while, I wonder if there's been any further development on this? Not checked in ages tbh!

I've got a feeling the Atari version has been dropped now that it's become some Steam Punk style gameAtariCrypt wrote: 06 Feb 2025 15:59 Been a while, I wonder if there's been any further development on this? Not checked in ages tbh!

Dread now = Grind
The patreon is here: https://www.patreon.com/c/Grind_Amiga/home
It is still in development. The majority of recent binary releases have been Amiga-centric, but a great Atari ST release happened maybe 9 months or a year ago.
I've been a patreon on and off since it started. Lots of great work on both platforms. Amiga is definitely the "lead" platform, but ST is still there!
I play on my Mega STE...works GREAT! I've not been able to get it to work on either my Falcon or accelerated ST's.

Thanks guys. I've also a Mega STe so that's something very special :) However, I'd love to see more dedicated ST development before I begin as a patreon. It really is something special to see a game like this running even on the bog standard ST.

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but just because I am running on a Mega STE doesn't mean it doesn't work on a bog standard ST (with 4mb of RAM...so not quite bog standard). It does.AtariCrypt wrote: 06 Feb 2025 17:23 Thanks guys. I've also a Mega STe so that's something very special :) However, I'd love to see more dedicated ST development before I begin as a patreon. Of course, my bad explanation there. Sorry. I was just saying that I'd love to see the ST dev continue.
I remember paying £99 for my 4MB RAM upgrade. I think it was a deal in ST Review magazine. It killed me trying to afford that bog-standard upgrade ;)

It is not only alive but they could finally stop that 'hide and seek' with KK's employer's legal department: https://www.patreon.com/posts/86-kk-is-back-115115856.

I don't mind paying for Grind or Dread at a commercial price when a completed or nearasdammit version is ready.
I'm not so keen on the Patreon, which is an ongoing expense, for a currently Amiga-focused project.
