Same. The LC I purchased with it can do 63, and trying to push it to the next setting would lock the Amiga. Same thing with a Rev 1 full 060. I also tried a Rev 5, and could clock it at 75.

Oof. Did you have to sell both kidneys for that, or just the one?!

I was under the mistaken impression that any LC would do 75, oops

The overclocking ability seems to vary greatly from one cpu to the other. I even found a rev1 that does 75 (although not for very long), but it's pretty much a crapshoot.

Its not just the 060 chips... the firmware can be improved ... but ... time

Neither... I bought this a few years ago for about what an LC sells for now. Amazing what obsolete hardware sells for now that it has a use...no way I'd pay $400+ I see them selling for on eBay now.

Hello
Just want to say i am really enjoying my TF1260, Thanks AlenPPC, and Steven for making this.

I can run at 75 Mhz all day long , 2 different 060 LC060RC50 and the other is labeled EC060RC66, but seems its a LC as well.

I am still haveing trouble with IDE, maybe someone can help.
I have in my startup sequence.
loadmodule >NIL: devs:ehide.device "alsi tried just naming it scsi.device as i read in a previous post.

but it doesnt seem to load, and if i open the HDTOOLBOX that i change touse ehide, then it mounts the CF and it works.

I also have this loadmodules ROMUPDATE , that i think i need and it may be causeing the problem.

Thanks.
Keith

The ehide device shouldn’t be dependent on any other modules. Renaming it scsi.device won’t make any difference because the device name is part of the rom tags.

It’s worth noting that not all cf cards will work on the TF ide interface.

Thanks for the reply,
once in workbench when i open the hdtoolbox, i get the beta driver warning, then i see it look at the CF, and then its mounted and works fine.
so the CF is ok, and i can see all the files on it.

just for some reason i cant get it to load the device on boot.

also if i use sysinfo, and check devices, there is no ehide, but after i use the hdtoolbox it is there. so it is loading it somehow.

i have tried so many things in startup seqence,, lol..

thanks

That will be because your partition hasnt got the boot priority set to be higher priority than your main drive. Really we're not encouraging people to boot from the ehide device unless you want to go make up a new rom with it in.

EDIT: I'm really not an expert but if you want to boot from the TF ide i would have just loadmodule ehide.devide in the startup-sequence of your onboard cf (A1200 motherboard) card and let it reboot ... make the onboard ide have very low priority and do the 3.9 module load from the new drive... probably skip the scsi.device module as part of the 3.9 update..

if you do this you'll get at least 2 reboots per boot.

But as it says on Chucky's page.. booting from the TF is not supported.

Great info, i am just trying to get it to auto mount on boot, not boot from it.

i will figure it out, i think its just the messy workbench install. been used for many things, and maybe its time to do a clean install.

By the way that KITT edition of the TF is FRICKN AWESOME< I would so go for an upgrade if you ever make more.

Return to “TF360”
