That's probably the underlying symptom. We know MAPROM works for other 536s.

In unrelated news, my "stuck D11" line looks very much like it might actually be a mistake in my maths and I've probably just subjected my board to a vast array of extra rework for no reason.

I have never gotten it to work, not even with a original board.

The issues are known in fact https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... =10#p44079

Crikey. I'd missed that and not experienced it.

How about giving ROMSPEED and I Cache off a go?

I think a lot of the problem is TOS 2.06
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Oh! Sorry. I didn't realise it was machine locked.

It seems the gremlins have been in overnight as well  Even though is working perfectly well for hours yesterday after fixing the reset line, a lot of the time will not boot without physically pressing the reset switch, and MAPROM basically intermittently locks up after loading now

EDIT:

Another odd fingers well, after loading MAPROM, if I yank out the ROM CE wire as it quits back to desktop, it crashes, if ROM was truly running from ram this should not really happen...

Looks like it could be changed but I cannot get it to compile anyway :(

Code: Select all

.nomag:	cmp.l #"_MCH",d0
	bne .nomch
	cmp.l #$00020000,d1	;TT or newer?
	bcs error	;no-
