Re: REV 3 - The beginning
Got distracted with the ROM decoding https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... 413#p60413
But follow the red wire and the TF536 is now providing the ROM decoding output for the H4..
I guess I really need to solder a ROM socket on the TF536 to make sure it works as intended next  @PhilC can try it

I know!! is only free real estate I have left
I am really wondering how long it will take for the toroidal transformer to wipe the floppy as well

Re: REV 3 - The beginning
So with some kind help from @Badwolf With the Verilog code.... I am now running this at 50Mhz! scores overall are fractionally slower than my 68000 50MHz booster, but that is likely as I cannot coax anymore speed out of the ROM like I could the ST.
TF536 50MHz..
68000 50Mhz.
Next to get TT RAM working...

Re: REV 3 - The beginning
Looks like your integer division is still a bit low, which probably accounts for half the speed difference. Should be 1.82 seconds for a 50MHz 030 with caches on.exxos wrote: 29 Mar 2021 10:04 So with some kind help from @Badwolf With the Verilog code.... Chip another couple of DTACK delays off! :D

Re: REV 3 - The beginning
I am not sure if it is or not, because speeds are double when GB6 is running from TTRAM... As the tests are running from ST-RAM it as the code overhead which is probably why slowdown is there...Badwolf wrote: 29 Mar 2021 10:55 Looks like your integer division is still a bit low, which probably accounts for half the speed difference. I don't really have any reference to what it is supposed to be..

Re: REV 3 - The beginning
TTRAM is being a bit sulky for some reason... FASTRAM.PRG just freezes after saying the RAM is installed, GB6 can install it but then I get screen corruption... The RAM is present as I poked some addresses in STOS..
EDIT:
It looks like that odd address range corruption issue is back   I wonder if there's a bad connection somewhere...
TTRAM isn't behaving for some reason ..

The integer division is consistent across ST-RAM and AltRAM.exxos wrote: 29 Mar 2021 11:06I am not sure if it is or not, because speeds are double when GB6 is running from TTRAM... You had 1.820 in this post with AltRAM, and here's my 50MHz 030 with ST-RAM only:
Bang on.
