Hi.
We all like numbers, 0-60, top speed, MIPS.
What does RAM speed actually do for the 'day to day'?
Now running SysSpeed, TF1260 RAM is lower than Apollo and Blizzard in many cases. But I have been watching loads of 060 demos which I would think push the entire system hard, and I'm really happy. They look and run good.
Now some demos I have noticed have some crunchy sound or it is slightly out of sync. But as many 060 demos don't use native generated sound but MP3 etc I have put that down to the low bitrate sound they are using, plus it has not bothered me enough to compare with YouTube recordings.
The 'Starstruck' demo by The Black Lotus has a few quick glitches on the TF360 which seem gone on the TF1260, so I wondered if that could be RAM speed or just the TF1260 has more mature CPLD coding?
Sorry for the questions, but it shows my cards are getting a good lot of use. No shelve queen's here
(although the 3DO I got just before the TF1260 is now gathering dust!)
