So just thought i'd post my (selfish) updates on the TF1260...
Its running with Mediator.. PCMCIA and we have the on card ide working. (and motherboard ide preserved... ) :) Hehe... unlike some hacked cards ;) .

Re: TF1260 stuff
This is what I call silicon enhanced. Yummy.
I was just wondering about the onboard IDE after looking at the unpopulated headers of those Scottish User Group cards.
I guess it would be best to run a CDROM off the A1200 IDE and the TF1260 for main HDD?
I have a slimline CDROM with SATA? to IDE adapter connected to a buffered interface, but cdrom is external at the moment.

Re: TF1260 stuff
Probably best the other way round as the 1200IDE is needed to bootstrap the TFIDE.Higgy wrote: 18 Feb 2021 20:33 This is what I call silicon enhanced. Yummy.

Credit where its due Erik Hemming has written me a driver for the TF ide interface.. its a little slow right now but we'll improve he speed and add DMA support in the TF4060.
Shame the community have behaved so bad otherwise this would have been open source.

Would that work as a boot device ?, Or would you need a custom built kickstart device with tfxx.device in it.terriblefire wrote: 18 Feb 2021 20:53 Credit where its due Erik Hemming has written me a driver for the TF ide interface.. its a little slow right now but we'll improve he speed and add DMA support in the TF4060.

Just need it to be in a rom somwhere. or you can have it in the startup sequence of the disk in the 1200 ide...amimjf wrote: 18 Feb 2021 22:50 Would that work as a boot device ?, Or would you need a custom built kickstart device with tfxx.device in it.
loadmodule tfide.device
then it will boot from the tfide.device if its higher boot priority

Re: TF1260 stuff
If not worried about CDROM. these would be a nice and neat solution that allows easy access to CF cards. I use the backdoor hatch( :o ) adapter on my A1200's. I think the new A1200.net have cuts outs marked for the angled side adapter.
