8 layers :)

I wouldn't like to build these by hand, that BGA chip would be a nightmare on a board that small, for me at least...

Saw this last night too. The 8 layer board seemed a bit mad
Collector of many retro things!
800XL and 65XE both with Ultimate1MB,VBXL/XE & PokeyMax, SIDE3, SDrive Max, 2x 1010 cassette, 2x 1050 one with Happy mod, 3x 2600 Jr, 7800 and Lynx II
Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...

Buffee is a Dual-Inline-Packaged Motorola 68000 accelerator based on the Octavo OSD335x-SM available with 512MB or 1GB of integrated SDRAM and capable of providing (at least) 68040 400MHz level of performance
I want one :)

Says open source and can be fully assembled by jlc... I'd build one or test just out of curiosity..

I've just tried.
JLC dont seem to do many of the parts and some of them are not supported for assembly. The 0201 passives and the Crystal are both parts available from LCSC but not able to be added.
I'd be happy if you were able to just get the BGA chip done, but that's also one of the unavailable chips.

Unless I am doing something wrong of course, this isn't out of the question.

I looked to see if supported the bus grant etc, can't do much on my old tablet, looks like pins go into the bga but can't see any source or anything.. I don't know about parts, maybe they out of stock or he's misunderstood how jlc works.. Either way, if its 3rd party assembly with 8 layers, I can't see it being cheap to make..

JLCPCB only does 6 layers!?
