TF536 Programming

Post by ninjafahrer »

Hi,
I ve just finished my 1st build.
How can I program the Xilinx controller - Raspberry is available.
I ve got a Revision 2B Board, but only find a Alpha Firmware at Github.

Any help is being appreciated - sorry for my beginner question :)

Save yourself the heart break of frying the Xilinx chip and get yourself one of these:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Waveshare-Comp ... ast_sto_dp

It'll work with the Pi and the software mentioned in the documentation but it'll be a lot safer.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Amiga or Atari? I don't know where the Amiga firmware is, but you should be able to search the forum and find the posting pointing to it.

There's a firmware section on this forum. Latest firmwares can be found there

Hi Frank, the card I've sent you has the latest firmware or is this another card?

Yes but I have a 1040ST Mainboard with a LightningST and my IDE Port do not longer work. So I need a Firmware with TF IDE disable. My greater Problem is that the TF536 do not work with my PuPla/Panther. And that is a no go ...

Hi,
today the XILINX Platform Cable DLC9LP arrived.
Totally exited I was able to install the ISE iMPACT on my W10 x64 machine,
but now I am really grounded with the software.

Starting iMPACT 64 it opens, clicking "Initialize chain" it shows the correct chip
on both TF536 I ve build, it askes for the JED files (I hope tf536r2_main_top_FULL_PHASE7 is correct)
and shows them as well, but afterwards no dialog to program the chip...

Is there some magic I am missing?
