Hi everyone,
I've made a few posts here, but I haven't really introduced myself, so I thought it's time to fix that. :)
I've been a computer enthusiast ever since I first saw Graham appear next to a castle in Daventry on my friend's then brand new IBM PCjr when I was a child. I was instantly hooked, and from there I began my own journey with a Commodore 64, Apple //c, an Atari PC1 and then onto an Atari ST, various 68k Mac's and then PC's in the early 90's. I began my career assembling & troubleshooting PC's at a local computer store and used the skills there to build my own PC's, which I've continued to do ever since. I now work in IT for a crown corporation where I've been now for nearly 20 years.
The nostalgia bug bit me a few years ago (I even type this on an original Apple Extended Keyboard lol), and I've had fun slowly rebuilding some memories of my childhood & university years by buying an Amiga 500 and too many 68k Mac's and teaching myself how to restore, recap & mod them. I follow all of the retro tech YouTube channels and its through them and forums like this and amibay that I've actually found some success with my various restorations! I never had an Amiga when I was younger, but I remember seeing it in magazines and on shows like The Computer Chronicles and being mesmerized by what it could do. Now, with the help of people on this forum, I can make Graham appear next to the castle again with its flags waving, and on hardware that was familiar but elusive to me when I was young. Those old games still feel like magic whenever I see them - it's amazing to see them alive again! What a great way to reconnect with such fond memories.

I wish I still had the PC1, but I sold it in trade for an 1040ST way back when. It was a neat little PC and shared a very similar case to the Mega ST. I love the design of those computers and I've often gone back to eBay to try & find one over the years, but they seem to be quite rare now and aren't mentioned very often. I spotted a PC2 or PC3 in the background in a couple of Mr Lurch's Things videos recently and it had me doing another eBay search only yesterday!
